Samir Bounab
Samir has spent 20 years building and selling B2B software, working hands-on across the Americas and Europe in more than 30 countries. His expertise spans IoT and embedded systems, enterprise software, hardware design and manufacturing, and telecom and network equipment, with a sharpening focus on electronics since 2017. He scaled and exited a software company, around 200 people, to a Fortune 500 (NASDAQ: AVT). He is also an LP in OSS Ventures, a software-for-manufacturing studio that has raised $100M, and in Axeleo Capital, a European fund backing industrial innovation with around €300M under management. Across all of it, the constant has been the same: complex products, long programs, and many hands that have to stay in sync.
For the last 15 months he has worked inside a precision machining shop, helping it scale and build better software tooling. That is where BlackOrbit started, from the daily reality of programs run across spreadsheets, email, and ERP, and the coordination tax that quietly slips every milestone. He does not design coordination from the outside. He builds it from inside the problem he has lived.
Samir has 3 kids and lives in San Diego, CA.
